YAHWEH & YAHSHUA
Are They One and the Same Being"
By Voy Wilks, Cisco, Texas

There are many reasons why we cannot, we must bnot, acept the view that Yahweh and Yahshua are one and the same being, usually caled the "Oneness Doctrine." One of the most obvious reasons this cannot be true is as follows:

Many Scriptures indicate that Yahshua had a heavenly Father, known as Yahwweh. These and many other Scriptures indicate the heavenly Father had a Son, known as Yahshua. If they were (are) one and the same being, then Yahshua did not really have a heavenly Father at all. There is no Father in heaven. If there is no Father in heaven, then there is also no Son, as there must of necessity be a Father, or else there cannot be a Son. So - if those two are one and the same being then there is neither a heavenly Father nor a son of the heavenly Father. If this is true, much of Yahshua's talk was only a farce in which there was no truth at all. The reason being, he so often referred to his Father, who did not exist, if he himself was (is) Yahweh.

Paul spoke of some unwise people who "... exchanged the glory of the immortal Yahweh for images ..." (Rom. 1:22). We fall into a similar situation if we seek to exchange the "Ever Existing One" (Yahweh the Father) for a "non-existent one."

People love to make a mystery out of the plainest, the simplest Scriptures. This is a mistake. It is generally true in Scriptures, just as in detective work, that the simplest and most obvious answer is usally the correct one. When Yahshua said he had a heavenly Father, we should believe this to be actually true - as factual history. When Scriptures tell us Yahshua was "delclared to be the Son of Yahweh by his ressurection from the dead" (Rom. 1:4), we should believe this as well. We must not make myths of the message of the Scriptures. The true religion is reasonable, sensible, and therefore "according to Scriptures." We must not mutilate the Scriptures nor their meaning.

Halleluyah!

Father & Son

Yahchanan [John] 10:29 - The Father is greater than all (others).

Yahchanan [John] 14:1 - You believe in Yahweh, believe ALSO in me (two persons).

Yahchanan [John] 14:25 - My words are not mine, but His who sent me (two persons: sender/sent).

Yahchanan [John] 17:22 - That the Apostles may be one as WE are ONE. Were the apostles only one person, rather than 12 persons? Just as the apostles were 12 individual persons, but with one goal, so the Heavenly Father and His son were two individual persons with one goal.

*Conclusion of these thoughts

To create only ONE person from these two:

(1) Yahweh the Father (who sits on the throne), and

(2) Yahshua the son (the Messiah, the Lamb);

Requires too much bending of terms, titles, names, logic, facts, and Scriptures. It is much better to accept the "sincere milk of the word" (1 Kepha [Peter] 2:2), and "receive with meekness the engrafted word" of Yahweh (Yaaqob [James] 1:21),

"...which is able to instruct you for redemption through faith in the Messiah Yahshua. For all Scripture given by inspiration of Yahweh is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of Yahweh may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all righteous works" (2 Timothy 3:16,17).

One righteous work which we should continually promote is FAITH; Faith in the following:

(1) Faith in the one Supreme Being who has LIVED ETERNALLY. His Name is Yahweh, the Creator of the heavens and the earh and all things in them.

(2) Faith in Yahweh's son; Yahshua the Messiah, who DIED to redeem sinners and arose again the third day. He was "declared to be the son of Yahweh... by his resurrection from the dead (Romans 1:1-4).

** Yahshua Messiah the son of Yahweh CAME OUT OF THE FATHER in the very same way sons and daughters 'come out of' human fathers; Yahshua Messiah was begotten by the set apart ["holy"] spirit of Yahweh, and was born of a woman. Those who do not acknowledge that Yahshua Messiah CAME IN THE FLESH, are ANTI-MESSIAHS, as Yahchanan [John] plainly states in 1 Yahchanan [John] 4:2-6.
